Biography

With his futuristic way of thinking that takes his sound a step beyond, Shlomi’s studio works, alongside an exhaustive DJ schedule, are both the key reasons that make him one of the most touted up and coming talents that emerge in today’s scene, with both his production and DJ skills held in high regard by many of his peers.

His real breakthrough came in early 2006, when his releases found their way into the charts and playlists of many of the top DJ’s and magazines, with support from names such as: John Digweed, Sven Vath, Dave Seaman, Pete Tong, Nic Fanciulli, Green Velvet, and Tiefschwarz backed by inclusions in the tastemaker Cool Cuts, Buzz charts, and Top sellers to name but a few.

Shlomi has established himself as a “New Generation DJ”. A DJ that defines himself through the music he is playing. Both his production and sets are based around Techno influenced underground House Music, creating a unique sound of intelligent and futuristic harmonies, and a natural mixture of strong and deep grooves.

His musical inspirations cannot defined by one genre, as they draw upon jazz and funk, house and minimal, in addition to acid and techno, all of which contribute to the unique sound and style that Shlomi has slowly been grooming over the last few years.

“Shlomi’s sets are full with warm and unique sounds that makes you feel like you are going back to the better days of music, it was something I cant define just by one word , If I must I will call it something between house and techno, With his fascinating technical skills, accurate programming, and music selection, you can just feel the magic in the air.”
(“DJ magazine”)

Shlomi’s successes so far include signing tracks to many of the top labels, including “Renaissance”, “Ovum”, “Cocoon”, and “Audio Therapy”. This has resulted in an increase in exposure worldwide, including reviews and interviews in the most popular dance magazines and radio stations all over the world. His ever increasing DJ schedule, has already taken him to all the corners of the world (including The Love Parade, Gay Parade, Dance & Levis, and many other clubs and events, playing amongst the top DJ’s the world has to offer).

Still feeling he has a lot to fulfill; Shlomi has also recently launched his own record label. This heralded the birth of “Be As One Recordings”.

The label’s focus is on releasing quality tracks rather than particular genres. This direction and way of thinking allows the label to be open minded, with the only constant being that “a track must have the right feeling and stand out in its own way”.

With already massive worldwide support from many of the top DJ’s, features in both magazines and many charts, “Be As One” established as one of the top leading labels in the underground dance music scene.

“No matter if It’s hard or soft, it’ just needs to touch your mind, body and soul at the same time. That’s what I call a “Good Record”. Shlomi Aber Interview, Radio One.

The basis of what makes a good record for Shlomi Aber can also be applied to his production and DJing, futuristic music that’s reaching minds and affecting a global and collective body of dance music lovers and purists everywhere.

Biography

Korruptor is Gareth Noyce, an English born DJ currently residing in Dundee, Scotland. Having grown up surrounded by the sounds of late 70s Disco and early 80s synth-pop, electronica and dance have always featured heavily in his musical library. After having his ears turned by the acid house sound, K took the plunge and began DJing on a friends setup in the early 90s, during the tail end of the South Coast Rave scene. His early sound was a rush-bound mix of hard house, euro-trance and Goa, which he played for numerous local parties. Living in the middle of a vibrant club-scene on the South Coast meant his musical tastes soon shifted and the more progressive, house sounds – championed by the likes of Ian Ossia, Len-E 9, Smoking Jo, Billy Nasty, Digweed and of course, Sasha – started to heavily influence what he listened to and played out during the latter part of the 90s. Despite the roller coaster changes and splits in house sounds over the years, K keeps returning to the progressive vibe, be it break laced, acid fueled or tech edged and his live sets often reflect his tastes over the years – wandering across genres and tempos as the night dictates. Since early 2004 K’s embraced the digital revolution and concentrated solely on programming quality music for sharing online. His sets have featured on several internet radio broadcasts, this year including AntiFMRadio in New York and most recently, the growing Bounce Beats and thanks to increasing popularity he’s relaunched the RK2 podcast as an exclusive channel for his mixes. With his recent move from CDs to Ableton, K’s love for music has been given a new lease of life; “With so many good artists and producers around, now really is the best time to be a DJ. I’m constantly finding new DJs & mixes that excite me, artists and tracks that inspire… Having the ability to explore sounds and ideas absolutely anywhere – as long as there’s juice in my laptop and headphones in my bag – really makes mix programming more enjoyable than ever.”

Biography

Since an early age music has been a big part in Ian’s life, first learning guitar from his Dad then recording humble tracks in his bedroom on a two deck tape recorder with some cheap keyboard effects and makeshift percussion instruments as well as playing in bands with his school friends. As he got older and started to get hit by electronic and dance music he started using samplers, drum machines, turntables, plus anything he and his mates could bring together to make tracks. These tracks would lay the foundations for the way he produces today using a computer-based setup. The Flexuous sound falls mostly into the house genre but expect to hear down tempo and more freeform tracks as well as anything else between. He prefers to try and take new directions with each track he makes, using different techniques, ideas and learning something new; trying to avoid a formula for his sound but hoping to allow a sound signature to develop more intuitively and naturally.

Look out for Ian’s other projects; Tsubo Soul – an alternative funk band/producer collective, and Homegroove Project – an electronic/live collaboration based around a soulful down tempo style. Ian also performs DJ sets, as well as live guitar sets where he plays freestyle alongside other DJ’s at various club nights and venues around Birmingham/UK.
