Biography
Praveen “PJ” Jayarajan spent the best part of 3 to 4 years dj’ing and producing in his bedroom studio before launching his own record label in January 2004. Infamous Light Recordings (ILR) was one of the first record labels to embrace the purely digital model of music distribution. In July 2005 PJ went on to develop 2 new projects: the Infamous Record Pool – a service that enabled independent labels to get valuable and affordable real-time feedback on their latest releases through digital music promotion; and the Infamous Podcasts – a series of online dj mix sets that utilised the latest trend of blogging and podcasting. PJ’s own music has featured on the ILR label, as well on film. He has also done remixes for more established international record labels. PJ’s dj mix sets have been aired on various radio stations worldwide including Proton Radio, Energy FM, Orbital Grooves, Mercury Sessions, Frisky Radio, Triple R (Melbourne), and 102.1 FM (Brisbane).
