Biography

Born in Jersey (UK) Nick Le Bon started DJing way back in 1985. He started off spinning his records in his local youth club and it wasn’t long before he secured his first residency in a club called the Tube (Jersey), It was from her his musical talents really got noticed, playing a mixture of Break Beat, and Deep Melodic tunes he was soon a regular player at Jerseys infamous bunker parties in the late 80s through to the early 90s.

His influences all along have been Progressive & clubful tunes, including producers like Mark Mitchell, Lars Nyhus, Shiloh and various other artists along the way, which have held him in very good stead. Nick worked his way up to playing most of the best clubs in Jersey through the 90s including The Venue and Madison’s always playing the very best in upfront dance tunes that kept the dance floors packed where ever he was playing.

In 2003 Nick secured a Residency at the Royal Yacht, as this was a new place that really hadn’t had anyone before playing dance music, there was a few eyebrows raised, but Nick being Nick within a year he had transformed the place from being empty to being packed every Friday and Saturday night. Nick was also offered a Wednesday night in the Yacht which he encouraged up and coming DJs to come and do there stuff, playing allsorts of styles from DnB to Funky House, this was another night that was to take off.

When Nick isn’t DJing he likes to check out other clubs and nights around the world, he has been to far to many to mention but there is one club that stands out from the rest for him, Fabric in London, this has all the things that Nick likes about a club, its dark its full of nice happy people and the tunes are second to none, its just the way I like it says Nick.

Recently Nick had moved into production and is currently mastering Digital performer & Ableton Live. im sure it wont be long before we hear some great production work from him, watch this space, he has also done some great mixes along the way which he will only be to happy to give out if you contact him.

Biography

Korruptor is Gareth Noyce, an English born DJ currently residing in Dundee, Scotland. Having grown up surrounded by the sounds of late 70s Disco and early 80s synth-pop, electronica and dance have always featured heavily in his musical library. After having his ears turned by the acid house sound, K took the plunge and began DJing on a friends setup in the early 90s, during the tail end of the South Coast Rave scene. His early sound was a rush-bound mix of hard house, euro-trance and Goa, which he played for numerous local parties. Living in the middle of a vibrant club-scene on the South Coast meant his musical tastes soon shifted and the more progressive, house sounds – championed by the likes of Ian Ossia, Len-E 9, Smoking Jo, Billy Nasty, Digweed and of course, Sasha – started to heavily influence what he listened to and played out during the latter part of the 90s. Despite the roller coaster changes and splits in house sounds over the years, K keeps returning to the progressive vibe, be it break laced, acid fueled or tech edged and his live sets often reflect his tastes over the years – wandering across genres and tempos as the night dictates. Since early 2004 K’s embraced the digital revolution and concentrated solely on programming quality music for sharing online. His sets have featured on several internet radio broadcasts, this year including AntiFMRadio in New York and most recently, the growing Bounce Beats and thanks to increasing popularity he’s relaunched the RK2 podcast as an exclusive channel for his mixes. With his recent move from CDs to Ableton, K’s love for music has been given a new lease of life; “With so many good artists and producers around, now really is the best time to be a DJ. I’m constantly finding new DJs & mixes that excite me, artists and tracks that inspire… Having the ability to explore sounds and ideas absolutely anywhere – as long as there’s juice in my laptop and headphones in my bag – really makes mix programming more enjoyable than ever.”

Biography

“I can still clearly remember the day I discovered electronic music. Standing in front of a speaker (still my favorite place), at a Friends and Family party in San Francisco. Something clicked, it made sense. While a lot of memories fade over time, that one doesn’t. The hard part came next. I knew I needed more of this music, but where to start? It wasn’t until a co-worker gave me Dave Seaman’s Renaissance Awakening that I knew where I wanted to be, and have never looked back. I’m now the guy will reply with a blank stare if asked about current non-electronic music.”

Matt’s weapon of choice is Ableton Live. If one can think it, one can probably do it with this aoftware, with enough work. Creativity is the only limiting factor. Matt’s been using Ableton for a year at this point, and has only begun to crack into its possibilities, he feels. His mixes have been featured on Frisky Radio and the ProgressiveHouse.com’s ProgCast. He is a regular contributor to AbletonLiveDj.com, a website dedicated to increasing the knowledge pool centered around using Ableton Live as a DJ tool.

Matt got involved with Opulent Temple at Burning Man in 2005 and has been playing with them since. He digs the thriving underground scene in San Francisco and enjoys the open-minded, conscious people that are drawn to electronic music.

“I take pride in making each mix a standalone story. Making each mix its own ride allows me to not be tied down to a particular style, and keeps things fresh. I feel alive when mixing, and hope the listener enjoys what I’m trying to say.”
