Flexuous
Since an early age music has been a big part in Ian Stanford's life, first learning guitar from his Dad then recording humble tracks in his bedroom on a two deck tape recorder with some cheap keyboard effects and makeshift percussion instruments as well as playing in bands with his school friends. As he got older and started to get hit by electronic and dance music he started using samplers, drum machines, turntables, plus anything he and his mates could bring together to make tracks. These tracks would lay the foundations for the way he produces today using a computer-based setup. The Flexuous sound falls mostly into the house genre but expect to hear down tempo and more freeform tracks as well as anything else between. He prefers to try and take new directions with each track he makes, using different techniques, ideas and learning something new; trying to avoid a formula for his sound but hoping to allow a sound signature to develop more intuitively and naturally.
